what a strange realization to see that most of your life you're immersed in a state of stark, raving lunacy; living in a world that's not even there and almost completely oblivious to what actually is there.

I have the clear realization of that when I think of all the people around us. How many people and stories we don't know and how much we are not relating and knowing about them at all. We sometimes get a glimpse of that at some street party or when there is a motive to relax and be with strangers and hear their amazing stories.
