being nobody

being nobody is beautiful. you become as careless as a shadow skimming over the blue ocean.

you become light, simplified, silent.

you become yourself.

always known

we feel that if we stopped this constant activity of defining ourselves we would simply become a nobody… and that's exactly right.

in that moment of existing without investing in the hectic activity of creating a mental "me," our undefined nature - clear, free consciousness - becomes obvious as something that’s always been there and even more surprisingly something that’s always been known!

buuut… sometimes we want something extraordinary, something more, not something we already have. the truth of being is perhaps too simple for our sophisticated needs, perhaps doesn’t offer the type of satisfaction we’re actually seeking.

wanting to be somebody

the assumption is that we have to find that perfect "somebody" to be so that we can finally be happy.

in reality, we have to be "nobody" to be happy. if we can be nobody, then the truth of what we are is free to express itself.

then we can be the infinite manisfestations of consciousness, expressed in endlessly varied ways.

forcing free consciousness to adhere to the somebody we think we are or the somebody we want to be, or repressing it to avoid the somebody we don't want to be is how we block and remain ignorant to our true nature.
